Parent Academy

In addition to a focus on student achievement, we also aim to complement student success by targeting adult learning and increased parental support through a Parent Academy.

 

The Saturday Parent Academy will offer assistance with obtaining a GED, workforce training, and parenting skills. Strategies to increase parental involvement will also include parent workshop offerings such as job skills, financial literacy, self-esteem, wellness, and appropriate behavior management techniques. Parent classes will also be offered in reading literacy, computer literacy, job readiness skills and other educational development opportunities.
